Our Story
The KUMA team is a husband and wife team who love anything kawaii (cute!) and anything stationery based. We loved stationery and journaling so much that we decided to set-up a space specializing in just that!
It all started with a simple idea of offering cute stationery to bring joy and comfort to your home whether your a bullet journal enthusiast, a planner nerd, a student or someone who just loves stationery/kawaii goodies.
Our passion came from the fact that we loved East-Asian culture especially Korea & Japan aesthetics and to portray that with our products too.
Behind the name
Coming from our love of East-Asia aesthetics and culture, we also LOVE the red panda bear! With his cute squishy face, we decided to base our logo on this adorable animal with a quirky twist of his blue scarf ^_^
We also have three office cats that help us with our work (they are mainly there for treats!) and one of which we always call KUMA which means 'bear' in Japanese due to his podgy belly - and from there we decided to incorporate both aspects! The Red Panda Bear KUMA Stationery store was born.
